TRIP Training & Certification Manager

Georgia’s Towing and Recovery Incentive Program (TRIP) was implemented in metro Atlanta to facilitate improved management of large-scale commercial vehicle incidents. TRIP encourages the quick, safe clearance of these incidents by paying performance incentives to highly-skilled, TRIP-certified towing and recovery companies for clearing wrecks within established clearance goals.

Level I Towing and Recovery Operator Training

Course offered by the TIME Task Force (16 hours) and is required as part of Operator Certification.

Additional Courses Required for TRIP Operator Certification

Haz-Mat (4hr), Flagger, NIMS 700, Quick Clearance. and maintain Haz-mat and Flagger certifications every 24 months.

Ongoing Training Available Online or in the Classroom

Operators are also required to complete 8 hours of on-going training annually. TRIP Training is made available whenever possible in an online format for easy access.

Level II Towing and Recovery Supervisor Training

Offered by the TIME Task Force (16 hours) and is a requirement for Supervisor Certification.
